Job description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Systems Engineer to join our team. This critical role supports a complex DHS effort within the CBP Passenger Systems Program Directorate (PSPD), which ensures the seamless screening and processing of travelers at U.S. ports of entry. As a Systems Engineer, you will work collaboratively with application teams, end-users, PSPD Divisions, and infrastructure teams to maintain system performance, resolve technical challenges, and ensure the reliability of production systems. Responsibilities: Provide O&M support for appl ​ ications in a production AWS Cloud environment. Troubleshoot and resolve production issues swiftly to minimize disruptions. Monitor production applications and databases to ensure consistent and optimal performance. Analyze recurring issues a: ​ nd implement effective long-term solutions. Participate in 24/7/365 O&M operations, including weekends, nights, and holidays as needed. Use ticketing systems such as ServiceNow and JIRA to track and resolve issues.
