Experience preferred but not required. Job Description: Sheridan Liberty is seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Roll Tender to ensure the efficient operation of our web offset printing press. The Roll Tender will be integral in maintaining a continuous flow of production by preparing rolls of paper for printing, making necessary adjustments, and ensuring that all press materials meet job specifications. Qualifications: - Load Paper Rolls: Load rolls of paper onto the automatic splicing unit, ensuring correct positioning and securement. - Inspect and Prepare: Inspect rolls of paper for blemishes, tears, or defects. Cut away damaged areas with a knife as needed and prepare paper for loading. - Adjust and Operate: Make necessary adjustments to the auto splicer to ensure proper paper feeding and continuous press operation. - Thread and Secure: Roll paper into position, insert the splicer shaft through the roll core, and secure the holding chucks to the shaft ends.
