The Pharmacy Department at BIDMC focuses on the delivery of safe, high-quality, cost-effective medication therapy. This position will provide operational, central pharmacy support to a variety of patient populations, across varying levels of acuity and complexity, including supporting emergency services. This pharmacist will exercise time management, communication and problem solving skills in an exciting, fast-paced environment. Initiates and ensures the quality of pharmacy drug distribution services in all patient care areas. Assumes direct responsibility of direct medication distribution, IV admixtures, safety and efficacy of prescribed drug therapy in accordance with laws and regulations governing pharmacists and the practice of pharmacy by the appropriate state and federal agencies.
