Essential Job Functions: - Responsible for customer inventory, receipts, put away and shipping for a specific client. - Dispatch drivers and respond to drivers' calls - Notify drivers of assignments and direct their activities to ensure cargo is picked up and delivered - Update data base on all dispatched moves - Ensure compliance with DOT regulations Coordinate DOT equipment repairs: Generate quotes for new business: Monitor performance against company KPIs: Backup domestic transportation desk: Create and send invoices: - Coordinate with other departments within the company - Respond to & solve production problems - Train employees on job specific duties - Make suggestions and show initiative for process improvements - Effectively communicate with clients, vendors and employees daily - Assist Operations Manager with planning and budget process - Other duties as assigned Other Skills & Abilities: - Problem solving- identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner - Client Service- manages difficult client situations, responds promptly to client needs and welcome client feedback - Quality management-look for ways to improve and promote quality and demonstrates accuracy and thorou...
