What You’ll Do: - As an EMT-B at Paramedic Services of Illinois, you will be an integral part of our team, responding to emergency calls and providing essential medical care to patients in need. - Respond promptly to emergency calls from dispatch centers. - Assess the scene of an emergency to ensure the safety of all parties involved. - Conduct primary and secondary assessments of patients to determine the nature and extent of illness or injury. - Obtain and record patient medical history, vital signs, and other relevant information. - Administer basic life support procedures, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), automated external defibrillator (AED) usage, and airway management. - Control bleeding, treat wounds, and perform splinting for fractures. - Safely transport patients to medical facilities using ambulances or other emergency vehicles. - Monitor and care for pati...
