Summary: Under the general supervision of the Planning Manager, the Planning Technician performs advanced administrative and technical coordination to support the Planning Division’s development review and public hearing processes. As the primary public-facing representative, this role ensures statutory notice compliance, accurate case intake, and the seamless administration of boards and commissions to maintain reliable division workflows. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Develops, maintains, and actively manages the Planning Division master schedule - Monitors statutory and internal deadlines and proactively alerts staff and management to potential conflicts or compliance risks - Coordinates scheduling across multiple case types to support efficient public hearing workflows - Provides regular status updates and tracking reports to division leadership - Identifies workflow gaps and recommends process improvements to enhance operational efficiency - Serves as the primary intake coordinator for planning, platting, and regulatory cases - Reviews applications for completeness, accuracy, and readiness for processing - Establis...
