Under the general direction of the Manager, the CT Technologist performs a variety of specialized diagnostic imaging procedures for both inpatients and outpatients at the hospital, in accordance with physician orders. This role requires a strong working knowledge of Radiology department policies and procedures, with a specific emphasis on computed tomography. The CT Technologist exercises independent judgment and initiative while maintaining accountability for the quality and accuracy of work performed. A high level of technical proficiency, informatics competency, and attention to detail is required to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care. This position collaborates closely with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other technical staff, and requires effective functioning in a fast-paced clinical environment. The technologist is expected to prioritize multiple competing demands, adapt to changing workflow needs, and seek managerial guidance when appropriate.
