Remote Hearing Representative (Workers’ Compensation Defense)

About the Role We are looking for a Hearing Representative to manage workers’ compensation defense cases in California. This role involves handling lien files, working closely with clients, and representing cases before WCAB judges. You will take ownership of your caseload from start to finish, including evaluation, negotiation, and resolution of claims. Responsibilities: - Manage a full caseload of lien files from initial review through resolution - Rate permanent disability using AMA Guides and assess apportionment - Represent clients at WCAB hearings, including settlement and status conferences - Negotiate with lien claimants to resolve disputes - Work closely with employers, insurance carriers, and third-party administrators - Prepare legal documents such as settlement agreements, declarations, and position statements Requirements: - 3+ years of experience in California workers’ compensation defense - Experience working as a Hearing Representative or similar role - Strong understanding of lien handling and permanent disability ratings (AMA Guides) - Experience appearing before WCAB judges - Ability to manage a high-volume caseload independently - Strong communication and negoti...
