Description Summary: The Commercial Underwriter II will perform a variety of duties to support the commercial lenders, board loan committee and board of directors in the determination of the customer’s credit worthiness. Location : This position is an on-site role based in Metairie, LA . Candidates should expect to commute and be physically present in the office according to the standard schedule or as otherwise agreed upon with their manager. Responsibilities: - Ensure applications are accurate and complete. - Ensure compliance with loan policy and bank regulations. - Analyze credit data and financial statements to determine the degree of risk involved in extending credit or lending money. - Generate financial ratios using computer programs to evaluate customer’s financial status. - Prepare reports that include the degree of risk involved in extending credit or lending money for use in decision making. - Complete credit analyses and summaries of loan requests, and submit to the commercial lender. - Compare liquidity, profitability, and credit histories of establishments being evaluated with those of similar establishments in the same industries and geographic locations. - Investig...
