Description Position Summary: The Vice Chair of Faculty Affairs will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for faculty development, engagement, and advancement across the Department of Emergency Medicine. This individual will partner closely with the Department Chair , other Vice Chairs (Education, Research & Innovation), and UVA Health leadership to foster a thriving, collaborative, and equitable environment for faculty success at all ranks and across clinical, research, and educational missions. The Vice Chair will serve as a key advisor to the Chair on faculty-related policies , oversee faculty appointment and promotion processes, champion well-being and recognition initiatives, and ensure alignment with School of Medicine and UVA Health priorities.
