Job description

Prepares and administers radioactive isotopes for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes. Operates the nuclear imaging equipment to produce quality diagnostic images of any part of the body for review and interpretation by a radiologist/cardiologist. Maintains mandatory records established by the Arizona Radiation Regulatory Agency (ARRA). The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development of the life span. The ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and appropriately interpret information relative to the patient's age-specific needs is required. Graduate of an accredited program for nuclear medicine.Bachelor's degree preferred. One(1)year nuclear radiology experience (including clinical experience) preferred. Knowledge and technical competence with nuclear equipment and procedures required. Training in radiation safety, operation of equipment, preparation, handling, and administration of radiopharmaceuticals required.
