Sr. Mechanical Engineer

Job description

The Senior Mechanical Engineer will be responsible in the design office for Lead engineering and design tasks of the assigned projects based on specific and detailed instructions received from the assigned supervisor as to the required tasks and responsibilities. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Serve as a Mechanical Lead or Mechanical Technical Lead on Simple and Combined Cycle Power Generation or other Heavy Industrial and Process projects. - Provide strong leadership to drive mechanical technical design and project coordination. - Manage Project Schedules and Budgets as well as provide weekly reports to communicate project status, issues, and needs. - Prepare and maintain resource plans. - Prepare equipment inquiry/RFQ packages. - Perform equipment technical bid evaluations and prepare recommendations. - Review equipment vendor documents for compliance to project specifications and industry standards. - Develop job notes and technical scopes of work. - Perform field walk downs to collect information required to complete work. - Prepare man-hour estimates for proposals. - Attend Client, Vendor, and Internal Team meetings. - Present technical information to peers or other personnel for review....
