Job description

IMEG is hiring a Civil Design Technician in Missoula, Montana, to work closely with experienced engineers and consultants in developing design solutions that support positive client outcomes. In this role, you will assist with preparing models and drawings for civil engineering projects while helping the team stay aligned with project budgets, goals, and client expectations. Principal Responsibilities: - Assist engineers and designers with field measurements of existing plans and prepare drawings from field data - Request clarification on unclear markups or drafting instructions - Support the design and analysis of civil engineering project features using Autodesk Civil 3D or equivalent software tools - Prepare detailed designs, specifications, and calculations in accordance with code requirements and IMEG standards - Analyze lower-complexity design tasks and collaborate with engineers to develop practical, efficient solutions - Participate in quality control processes to help ensure designs meet IMEG standards, industry standards, and client requirements - Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in civil engineering and contribute to innovation e...
