Instrument Maker I Position Summary: This position hand finishes, assembles, and tests reusable surgical instrument families with extremely intricate and small size parts that require accurate fitting and aligning of a repetitive nature for the medical industry. Prepare parts that do not fit or work properly. This position requires moderate supervision. This is accomplished by maintaining Tecomet’s principles of Safety, Quality, Customer Satisfaction, and Innovations. Principle Responsibilities: - Prepares and selects the required wheels, bench operations, to polish and finish to produce the finished product. - Rough and fine polishes all the components as needed (polishing, grinding). - Processes instruments to clean and electropolish as needed. - Receives product, review paperwork and stage instruments as appropriate. - Performs preventive maintenance and equipment upkeep including replacing worn components as necessary. - Actively participates in continuous improvement efforts and teamwork. - Identifies areas of cost savings, waste reduction, and methods to improve processes, quality, and efficiencies. - Performs special projects and assists in other areas of plant production as...
