Description The Schusterman Center for Jewish Studies at The University of Texas at Austin seeks a visionary and collaborative director, who will also serve as a tenured full professor on the Jewish Studies faculty and in a department consistent with their area of academic specialization. The director will be committed to fostering innovative faculty research in Jewish Studies, advancing the development and growth of the center’s undergraduate programs, supporting graduate students working in Jewish Studies across the university, and furthering the center’s public service and outreach work. Initial appointment as director will be a four-year term (with the possibility of renewal) and will include robust endowment support for teaching and research. The ideal candidate will be an academic leader within the field of Jewish Studies with a record of distinguished research and teaching. As a tenured full professor, duties will include undergraduate and graduate teaching, research, and service to the faculty member’s department, the college, and university.
