Overview: Quinnipiac University’s Learning Commons invites applications for the position of Academic Coach to join a collaborative, student-centered team dedicated to advancing student achievement, engagement, and persistence. Academic Coaches play a vital role in supporting the academic success and holistic development of first-year students by serving as trusted mentors, advocates, and partners throughout their transition to university life. Through individualized support, proactive outreach, and developmental coaching, Academic Coaches empower students to navigate academic expectations, strengthen learning strategies, build confidence, and overcome barriers to success. Coaches work closely with students to foster accountability, resilience, and effective decision-making while helping them connect with the wide range of resources and opportunities available across the University. Academic Coaches collaborate regularly with faculty, staff, and campus partners to support student progress and ensure students receive the guidance, encouragement, and interventions necessary to thrive academically and personally.
