Job description

Overview Individuals and teams are expected to operate, maintain, and improve their process, material flow and equipment in performing their work. Operating the process to standard operating conditions, testing, light maintenance, administrative tasks, troubleshooting the process, and managing facilities improvements when needed are all essential parts of, but not limited to, managing their overall role and responsibility. This is an in-person, onsite position located at: Mylar Specialty Films, 5401 Route 1, Richmond, VAProduction Operators are required to work an 8-hour rotating shift schedule in the Slitting area or 12 – hour rotating shift for the Coating Area, which will include weekends, holidays, and overtime. Responsibilities: Slitting Area: Slitting operators have overall responsibility for the output of the slitting machine and assistance to adjacent operators to maximize efficiency of the finishing area slitting line. This is accomplished by, operating by SOC, (as available) produce quality products to customer specification per order, ie: Type, width, footage, hardness, etc. Produce a maximum of production with a minimum of rejects/waste and quality defects.
