As a Sr. Specialist in the R&D Model Machine Shop in Lake Forest, CA , you will be trusted to conduct prototype machining to support the research and development process of Alcon’s innovative surgical equipment. In this role, a typical day will include: Supporting Mechanical R&D builds for Ophthalmic Instrumentation development. Completing machine setups on a wide variety of specialized and production equipment. Generating first article/first piece product for inspection. Making required adjustments to equipment or programming to maintain compliance with quality standards. Working directly with Engineers on Modifications on the fly when needed.
