Position Overview Power your future with Qualus as a Mechanical Engineer. The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for providing support to engineering projects from start to finish ensuring compliance with company practices and procedures, as well as industry standards. Responsibilities include but not limited to developing complex mechanical designs relating to power switchgear, electrical bus, substations, and other electromechanical components within the electric power system. The Mechanical Engineer should also be able to coordinate with customers and engineers to satisfy design requirements. Responsibilities: - Design complex models in 3D modeling environments. - Create assembly drawings from 3D renderings. - Lead efforts in the field to take measurements for design modifications and installations. - Perform reverse-engineering of equipment and components. - Design parts with specification for manufacture. - Learn/perform calculations relative to forces on bus and bracing. - Assist with installation of equipment on job site or provide remote support. - Read and understand technical requirements presented in specifications and requests for proposal. - Take the lead in the develo...
