Overview Our Cardiac Medical Unit is 42-bed unit, concentrating on Cardiac Telemetry. Nurses in this area have a 1:6 ratio and provide unparalled care to predominately cardiac patients requiring treatment for chest pain, shortness of breath, palpitations, or other various cardiac arrhythmias. In addition, this unit will further provide care to a variaety of medical patients with pneumonia, GI issues, COPD, diabetes, and occasional stroke and surgical patients as well. Our dedicated team of nursing and ancillary staff provide patient-centered care to support each specialized patient’s recovery with the goal of reaching optimal patient outcomes for all. Responsibilities: Plans, coordinates, and directs quality, compassionate care by maintaining standards of professional nursing practice and creating positive therapeutic relationships with patients/families. Supervises LPNs, PCAs, PCAs/US, US, Ortho Techs and other non-licensed staff. - Assesses condition on each assigned patient on admission and on an ongoing basis to include but not limited to the patient’s physical condition, psychological status, social status, spiritual and cultural needs, pain assessment/management, nutritional...
