Additional Department Summary: The Civil, Construction and Environmental Engineering Department at The University of Alabama is seeking a candidate for a Postdoctoral fellow position. This position is available to individuals with research interests and expertise in integrative eco-hydrological and eco-physiological research aimed at improving representation of plant stress responses in next-generation, 3-D ecosystem models. This position involves developing and implementing mechanistic modules for plant hydraulics, stomatal regulation, photosynthesis, and carbohydrate transport to be included within the HIGRAD/FIRETEC modeling framework developed by Los Alamos National Laboratory.
