Sports Information Intern/Graduate Assistant

Description Assists the Associate Athletic Director with creating and executing sports information coverage, as well as a communication/marketing strategy for athletic events. This internship is designed as a 10-month experience from August 1 to May 31. The appointment is for one year, with a possible one-year renewal. Candidate must be enrolled in Millikin University’s MBA Program to be considered. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following: SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position does not have supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. - Will be a Sports Information contact for all sports (or will it be for only some sports) - Assist with event management for home athletic events. - Assist as a Social Media Coordinator by producing content for Millikin Athletic social media accounts. - Assist with providing sports information coverage at home events. - Assist with updating Millikin University Athletics web sites. - Assist with reporting game results and information to opposition institution’s sports information departments, CCIW Sports Information Director, NCAA, and local media ou...
