Driver - Transit Vehicle Operator

Job description

JOB SUMMARY: Perform vehicle operations in fixed-route, paratransit, on-demand and extended services. Duties include, but are not limited to, safe operation of motor vehicles, providing passenger assistance, customer service, radio operations, record keeping and adherence to all applicable laws. Consistently display sound judgment which results in decisions that place the agency in the best possible light. QUALIFICATIONS: Education and Experience: High school diploma , GED or equivalent. Must be 18 years or older. Special Requirements: - Possession of a valid class "C" Texas Commercial Driver's License with Passenger Endorsement. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: - Clean driving record and knowledge of traffic laws and safety rules applicable to the transportation of passengers.
