Job Purpose: The HVAC/R Technician is responsible for assisting with the operation and maintenance of Jackson corporate buildings, data centers, and child development center. This includes primarily the operation, preventative maintenance, and repair of HVAC, refrigeration, and plumbing equipment. Based on the needs of the company the technician may also be called upon to perform other duties as assigned. The technician will also assist with assuring compliance on environmental, building, fire, health, OSHA and ADA codes and regulations. Essential Responsibilities: Operates and maintains air handling units, boilers, heat pumps, fans, VAV boxes, pumps, Computer Room Air Conditioner, dry coolers, cooling towers, refrigerators, walk in coolers and freezers, commercial kitchen appliances, ice makers, gas humidifiers, sheet metal/duct work, and all other premise HVAC equipment. Maintains records of all equipment service and preventative maintenance utilizing a computerized work order system. Directs contractors and monitors work as needed for HVAC repairs and maintenance.
