Overview SUMMARY: Repairs, inspects, and installs systems, apparatus, and components of railroad signaling systems and highway traffic control devices. Monday - Friday from 1400 - 2200 Starting pay is $32.03/hr. After qualification goes up to full pay at $42.11/hr. Cocoa, FL: Responsibilities: ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. - Installs railroad signaling equipment and highway traffic control devices according to layout plans and/or FRA regulations. - Maintains signaling and traffic control devices; analyzes operational malfunctioning with testing devices to locate, diagnose, and ascertain repairs to be made. - Examines mechanisms and disassembles components to replace, clean, adjust, or repair parts, wires, relays, circuits, or signaling units. - Operates and tests equipment to ensure elimination of malfunction. - Climbs poles or digs trenches to install or repair equipment. - Maintain written electronic records of all tests, inspections, and repairs performed.
