Equipment Manager

Job description

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: - Provides shop management support for Knife River operations to maximize utilization and reduce cost - Work closely with other Knife River shops for consistency in repair techniques, safety, policies and practices - Coordinate with maintenance supervisor for repair and service of trucks and equipment - Monitor fleet compliance, work with locations to assure regulatory compliance and FMCSRs - Attend Operations and Production meetings to understand upcoming needs and to provide operations with updates on equipment. - Develop safety awareness programs for shop/field mechanics, and to attend safety meetings in all locations - Participate in the review of any accident or near miss involving shop personnel. Be prepared to report to Vice President on incident and suggestions for preventative actions. - Assist in annual budget process and establish long term targets - Work with Operations on all major repairs and PM's and to manage monthly expenses - Always work safely and take action to prevent any and all unsafe actions, processes and behaviors - Perform tasks that may require lifting 10 pounds frequently, 50 pounds occasion...
