General Maintenance Technician - Electrical

Description The General Maintenance Technician, Electrical is responsible for interior and exterior electrical construction and maintenance of all campus buildings, fire alarm systems, data and telephone wiring, HVAC controls wiring and exterior fixtures. The General Maintenance Technician works collaboratively with the Facilities department to ensure work priorities are kept, work orders are completed and customers receive follow-up on their requests. The General Maintenance Technician must possess excellent customer service skills and have a commitment to providing the best possible environment for education and student living. The General Maintenance Technician, Electrical is considered “essential personnel” and is required to provide various duties and maintenance services, including snow removal, during and outside normal working hours and during institution closures; and duties associated with emergencies, scheduled and unscheduled events.
