Description Responsible for providing and managing pharmacy services in accordance with the requirements set forth by the federal, state, and local laws and the polices of San José Clinic in the absence of the PIC. Reports to the PIC and the Chief Clinical Officer. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILILTIES: · Dispense prescriptions in compliance with Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP) and controlled drugs according to set standards by the TSBP. · Order all drugs and biological products (vaccines and insulin); store them according to requirements. · Keep required license current and always displayed in pharmacy. · Remove all outdated drugs from pharmacy shelves. · Maintain formulary in consultation with volunteer providers. Formulary to include purchased drugs, drug samples in-stock, and pharmaceutical assistance program drugs. Ensure providers know how to access all formulary information and understanding processing procedures to add to formulary. · Integrate RX Assist Plus program and sample inventory more seamlessly with operations of pharmacy to prioritize in-kind donations over purchased medicines. · Update and ensure adherence to Pharmacy Policy and Procedure Manual. · Comply with Texas...
