SUMMARY: The Twig Gift Shop buyer/assistant manager will report to the gift shop manager, both of which shall be guided by the Twig Association. The buyer/assistant manager shall have the responsibility for ordering all merchandise and supplies to be sold or used in the gift shop. STATUS: Part-time: LOCATION: Rochester General Hospital: DEPARTMENT: Twig Gift Shop: SCHEDULE: Mon-Fri 9am - 3pm. ATTRIBUTES: Excellent customer service skills. Ability to travel to various locations on scheduled business. Strong understanding of business, retail/purchasing concepts, techniques and procedures. RESPONSIBILITIES: Create purchase orders, manage ordering, receiving, and pricing of merchandise into, and maintenance of, the POS software system. Create and maintain professional relationships with merchandise suppliers. Generate monthly and annual business reports to present to the Twig Association for approval. Plan, implement and evaluate annual gift shop inventory daily, initiate markdowns as needed, to generate maximum profitability.
