Overview About the Role: The primary purpose of the Ambulatory Care Technician Certified (Certified Medical Assistant) position is to support the patient and the provider throughout the ambulatory care patient visit from registration through discharge and follow up.As a Certified Medical Assistant, Ambulatory Care Technician Certified will structure the patient flow for the physicians in the examination and treatment of patients. As directed by a Physician and University Hospital policy, the Ambulatory Care Technician Certified administers intramuscular and subcutaneous injections which may be delegated under State regulations. The Certified Medical Assistant will support all front end and clinical office procedures.
