Description The Recovery Support Specialist supports the program by ensuring that quality direct care services are provided to the clients. The Recovery Support Specialist reports to the Program Director for regular supervision and assignments. Location: Victory House, in Boston’s South End, provides residential treatment programs for 24 men with substance use disorder. The program is three-to-nine months long and helps support the residents with co-occurring conditions, such as mental health and chronic health conditions. Essential Functions: - Act in accordance with Victory Programs, Inc.’s Standards of Excellence & Philosophy of Care at all times including maintaining professional ethics, boundaries and client confidentiality. - Provide quality, empathetic customer service to the clients in the program. - Ensure that when clients take medication, all policies and procedures are followed for assisting and monitoring the clients’ self-administration of medication. - Responsible for medication documentation, including: counting controlled medication, documenting incoming medication and medication removal, signing off on medication as it is taken by the clients. - Provide milieu cov...
