Medical/Dental Resident – Job Description Position Title: Medical/Dental Resident: Department: Graduate Medical Education / Dental Education Reports To: Program Director, Department Chair, and/or Attending Physician/Dentist Position Summary: The Medical/Dental Resident is responsible for participating in an accredited residency training program under the supervision of attending physicians and/or dentists. The resident provides direct patient care, participates in educational and clinical activities, and develops the knowledge, clinical judgment, and professional skills necessary for independent practice. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients within the scope of the residency training program. - Obtain and document patient histories, physical examinations, assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in the medical record. - Participate in inpatient, outpatient, emergency, surgical, and/or specialty clinical services as assigned. - Perform clinical procedures appropriate to the level of training and specialty under appropriate supervision. - Collaborate with attending physicians/dentists, nursing staff, allied health professionals, and...
