Minneapolis, Minnesota: Position: Buyer: Department: Purchasing: Primary Objective of Position: Responsible for purchasing material in our dynamic engineer to order and made to order manufacturing facility with a Customer Driven focus that provides On Time Predictability thru Continuous Improvement. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: - Daily Material Requirement Planning review with executing orders for production materials, MRO items and services. - Works collaboratively with planning and suppliers to resolve delivery issues and develop recovery plans for to support on time delivery to customer. - Interface with other department representatives to determine specific needs, such as technical requirements, or manufacturing requirements. - Processes Engineering Change Order releases for updates to manufacturing and vendors. - Follows up on deliveries, obtains proof of delivery if required and resolves invoicing related issues. - Responsible to manage inventory for assigned materials to the appropriate level for order quantity, safety stock, excess and obsolete inventories - Attends production meetings. - Provides regular updates o...
