Job Responsibilities: The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina, is seeking an application for the position of Electrician. Under limited supervision, the candidate will perform repairs and preventative maintenance to campus electrical distribution systems, lighting distribution systems and fixtures, motors and related equipment; installs and maintains commercial and residential electrical circuits during new work and renovations; assists shop personnel in installation, setup, and maintenance to campus portable sound and public address systems, including electronic message centers; performs troubleshooting, minor repair, and preventative maintenance of campus fire alarms and security systems; experience with generator and switch gear, continues education on N.E.C. State and local building and electrical codes. Attends safety meetings and participates in full compliance with OSHA electrical safety requirements; among other duties. Minimum Qualifications: A high school diploma or equivalent and 5 years of experience as an electrician; commercial experience preferred.
