BASIC PURPOSE OF THE JOB: Provides first-line authority, responsibility, accountability, and management of the 24/7 operations of the Pre-Operative, Intra-Operative Care and Post-Anesthesia Care Units. This includes but is not limited to overseeing the scheduling of procedures, scheduling and directing of surgical services staff, providing mechanisms for ensuring quality care, planning and controlling the physical environment, materials, inventory, supplies, and equipment.
