Position Summary Senior Clinical Veterinarian provides advanced clinical leadership and oversight of veterinary care activities within Campus Animal Resources (CAR). This position is responsible for coordinating and delivering comprehensive preventive, diagnostic, therapeutic, and supportive veterinary care for laboratory animals used in research, teaching, and training programs. The role includes direct supervision of CAR veterinary technicians, providing clinical direction, performance oversight, and ensuring adherence to established veterinary care standards and institutional policies. The Senior Clinical Veterinarian manages daily clinical operations, including evaluation and treatment of animal health concerns, oversight of clinical case management within research colonies, and implementation of preventive health programs. This position provides professional veterinary expertise and regulatory support to the Attending Veterinarian, IACUC, and CAR leadership, including participation in IACUC activities, development and interpretation of veterinary care and regulatory guidelines, and support for institutional compliance with federal, state, and accrediting body requirements.
