Description The University of Chicago's Department of Medicine, Section of Cardiology, is seeking full-time faculty members at any rank to join an established group of nationally known physicians and surgeons in the Cardiac Arrhythmia Center (Electrophysiology) within the Heart and Vascular Center. Appointees will have clinical responsibilities predominantly at our main campus and at affiliated off-sites if needed. Clinical responsibilities include performing cardiac electrophysiology procedures and doing outpatient cardiology clinic, inpatient service, and consultation. Other duties will include training and supervision of trainees and students and scholarly activity. Academic rank and compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) are dependent upon qualifications. Cardiac electrophysiology at the University of Chicago has a long tradition of clinical and academic excellence. A full range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures are provided as well as two new state-of-the-art , dedicated clinical electrophysiology laboratories.
