Adjunct Faculty Introduction to Social Sciences: Department of Applied Sciences and Professional Studies UMGC Stateside: Location: Shaw Air Force Base, SC University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) seeks adjunct faculty to teach on-site at Shaw Air Force Base, SC, for the Social & Behavioral Sciences & Gerontology program. Specifically, we are seeking faculty for the following course(s): Introduction to Social Sciences (BEHS 210): An interdisciplinary introduction to the study of society. The objective is to use the combined perspectives of the different social science disciplines to better understand the nature of society. Topics include research methods, ethical considerations in research, and the relationships among the different social sciences. Discussion surveys a range of social sciences. An analysis of social phenomena that integrates insights from the social sciences is also presented. Required Education and Experience: Master’s in Social Science, or a related field, from an accredited institution of higher learning is required.
