Job description

The Manufacturing Automation Lead position located in Hampton, VA will support the Engineering Manager with the efficient workflow management of team of Manufacturing Engineers working on multiple projects. Provide support for manufacturing processes on site including CMM, EDM, CNC, Waterjet and Automated operations. Develop automated manufacturing processes. Provide manufacturing expertise for the engineering team. Qualify new product on manufacturing and measurement equipment, internally and with the customer. Essential Job Responsibilities but not limited to: Development and implementation of new advanced manufacturing equipment and automation Support justification of capital funding requests Responsible for program storage, data back-ups and revision control for Manufacturing equipment - Maintain Training and Skills Matrix for Manufacturing Engineers - Maintain EH&S records for department, Implement and support EH&S activities - Manage Goals / Performance / Development expectations and perform performance reviews - Programming automated inspection equipment such as Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and structured light systems such as GOM ATOS equipment - Applying first princ...
