Job description

St. Alphonsus Preschool, located in Woodstock, MD , seeks candidates for a Preschool Lead Teacher for the 2026-2027 School Year . This is a part-time, benefit eligible position, working in the mornings from 8:30 am until 1:00 pm. This is for a Three Year Old classroom. The PreK Lead Teacher will be accountable for the care and supervision of children. Their primary responsibilities are the safety and well-being of children in their care, but they also provide instruction and educational support in preparation for Kindergarten. Essential Functions: - Leads the classroom staff to implement a program of instruction that adheres to the school's philosophy, goals, and objectives. - Takes initiatives in the classroom, and prepares the learning environment daily, including centers and activities. - Maintains a clean and organized classroom daily. - Leads classroom management and orderly transitions. - Uses positive words and actions in all communication and interaction with the students. - Implements daily activities with children. - Prepare crafts and activities. - Prepare a learning environment daily including centers and activities. - Work collaboratively with other teachers, staff, an...
