Director - Trade Compliance

Job description

As the Director – Trade Compliance, you will be responsible for setting strategy and providing direction to ensure global compliance with export and import regulations. This includes developing, implementing, and managing policies and procedures that govern U.S. exports, U.S. imports, and international trade activities in all countries where the company operates. You will work closely with sales management across the company and collaborate with other corporate functions such as legal, contracts, supplier relations, operations, and M&A to ensure consistent and effective trade compliance globally. Responsibilities: Qualifications: - Directs management of compliance on U.S. exports and imports. - Develops policies and procedures to ensure compliance with export regulations globally. - Responsible for Wesco’s trade compliance program including maintaining export and import manuals and overseeing company-wide trade compliance training. - Directs, audits, and reviews export activities for continuous improvement with export compliance process. - Remains current on import and export regulations globally and communicates impact and risks to necessary business leaders.
