Job Summary: This position is responsible for planning and performing engineering duties as assigned, working independently. Reviewing, modifying and approving project specifications of the most complex nature to ensure their conformance to applicable codes and standards and generally accepted industry practices. Job Description: Key Accountabilities: Strategic Planning: - Develop and implement systems and asset strategies for the VISTRA nuclear fleet, focusing on operational sustainability, safety, and cost-effectiveness. - Create a comprehensive long-range plan for component replacement and refurbishment, including timelines and critical milestones. - Inform the VISTRA corporation of future budgetary needs based on the long-range plan. - Work with cross functional teams to develop major outage and preventative maintenance work scope.
