DESCRIPTION: Coordinates assignments of Respiratory Care Staff. Provides supervision of staff in the absence of Coordinator/Director. Provides respiratory care to patients. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned. RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervises, to include discipline, supports and coaches staff in absence of Director; responds proactively to employee needs; makes rounds to adequately maintain patient equipment; therapeutic listings; reports identified unusual patient conditions/reactions to immediate supervisor; performs quality control on all respiratory care equipment. Education: Required: Graduate of an AMA accredited respiratory care program. Experience: Required: 1 year of respiratory care Preferred: Supervisory experience Certifications: Required: RCP or equivalent State licensure; CRT, AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, AHA PALS, and AHA NRP Preferred: RRT Physical Demands: Nacogdoches Medical Center Hospital is committed to providing exceptional patient care in a supportive and collaborative environment.
