Our Values: Respect | Belonging | Accountability | Transparency Department: CHS Environmental Services Job Summary: The Custodian, under immediate supervision, provides cleaning, bed linen change out, floor care, moving, grounds and project services as directed by supervisor. May also perform specific interior and exterior Medical Housekeeping cleaning duties to maintain a clean and aseptic environment throughout the hospital/clinics. The Custodian may be assigned to any one of several positions to include: patient area cleaner, non-patient area cleaner, trash technician, special care unit cleaner, and/or others Education: - Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them. Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and equipment, in order to prevent damage to finishes and fixtures. (20%) - Change bed linens (15%) - Gathers and empties trash and linen.
