Underwriter - Financial Lines Department: Specialty Lines: Employment Type: Permanent - Full Time Location: BE - Brussels: Description: You will be responsible for developing new profitable business. Involved in all aspects of underwriting, including new business, renewal underwriting, you will develop and maintain long-term broker relationships and wallet share. You will also travel on an ad-hoc basis to meet our brokers in the UK and internationally. A key aspect of your role will be to establish and maintain long-term broker relationships generating new business and maintaining renewal business in our core territories. You will also travel on an ad-hoc basis to meet our brokers both in the UK and internationally. Key Responsibilities: - Respond to and manage enquiries from brokers in a timely and professional manner - Proactively develop and seek out new business via brokers and clients - Explain the features, advantages and benefits of CFC’s new and existing products and coverage enhancements as well as supporting the launch of new products - Attending and hosting corporate hospitality events - Investigate insurance legislation, regulation, and compliance issues within our targ...
