After School Instructor

Job description

After School Instructors may work with a group of up to 20 students from TK-8th grade with daily tasks consisting of, but not limited to: tutoring, homework assistance, and educational enrichment. Instructors must have high energy, excellent organizational and communication skills, and the ability to maintain a fun and organized atmosphere. Qualifications: Education - Provides tutoring and homework assistance to help students meet national standards - Collaborates with Site Coordinator to create and implement all Catalyst Expanded Learning curriculum, rules, and procedures, including new curriculum that may be introduced during the school year - Provides students with educational enrichment which may include positive youth development strategies, recreation and prevention activities, and the ability to teach positive life skills - Works collaboratively with staff members on site - Tracks students' progress using programmatic protocol - Ensures students receive consistent supervision and always provides a safe and supported environment - Tracks attendance daily - Fills out lesson planning form weekly - Maintains a high level of professionalism with students and families - Attends re...
