The Opportunity Ulteig is seeking qualified candidates for the position of System Protection Engineer. The System Protection Engineer acts as a technical leader and is responsible for the full scope of the design, development, and implementation of protective relay settings and coordination studies. Plans, schedules, conducts and/or coordinates detailed phases of assigned project work. What You'll Do: Performs short-circuit and symmetrical component analysis, time-current coordination, step-distance coordination, relay settings development and coordination, test plan development, commissioning assistance, protection system event analysis and troubleshooting, and development of NERC PRC compliance reports. Protection scheme development includes transmission, distribution, generation, and renewable energy sources. Provides technical guidance to other engineers.
