Title: Assistant Attorney General, Office of Civil Rights State Role Title: Assistant Attorney General Hiring Range: Commensurate with Experience: Pay Band: UG: Agency: Attorney General & Dept of Law Location: Office of the Attorney General Agency Website: https://www.oag.state.va.us/: Recruitment Type: General Public - G Job Duties: The chief objective of this position is to serve as the lead attorney who focuses on identifying and bringing civil actions alleging pattern and practice violations of the Virginia Fair Housing Law (VFHL), the Virginia Human Rights Act (VHRA), the Public Integrity and Law Enforcement Misconduct Act (PILEM) along with other relevant civil rights laws enforced by the Office of Civil Rights. Specifically, the attorney will plan and direct litigation activities that seek to eliminate patterns and practice of discrimination that violate the anti-discrimination provisions of the VFHL, VHRA, and PILEM, including the preparation and presentation of complex civil cases before state circuit courts.
