Job description
Job Summary: The Occupational Therapist-Inpatient provides patient care including evaluations, goal setting, treatment planning, family training and the application of treatment techniques in accordance with designated practice act and department policy and procedure. Supervises non California Children's Services (CCS)-paneled staff as assigned. Attend discharge rounds for patients with therapy needs, involved in helping to coordinate services with the Medical Therapy Unit (MTU) program if working with adolescent patients. Performs other duties as needed. Education and Experience: Graduate from an accredited Occupational Therapy program required. Suitable combination of education, training or experience along with a California license in Occupational Therapy is acceptable. No experience required. Knowledge and Skills: Able to read; write legibly; speak in English (and Spanish preferred) with professional quality; use computer and software programs necessary to the position; troubleshoot and calibrate patient care equipment build or create treatment equipment as needed.
