Department: Denver Sheriff Urban Institute Job Summary: The Behavioral Health Psychiatrist for Correctional Care, under general supervision, diagnoses and treats adult patients with complex co-occurring medical, behavioral health and substance mis-use disorders as well as homelessness, poverty; and treatment-resistance. The Psychiatrist provides evidence-based cost-effective clinical services including assessment, behavioral interventions, consultation, emergency medications, M-1 holds and other involuntary treatments such as seclusion/restraints, somatic treatments, triage and other clinical services.
